Dr. Yook is fellowship-trained ophthalmologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. She is currently a part of the team of experienced physicians at Berkeley Eye Center, operating out of the offices in Katy and Spring, Texas.
With a reputation that spans more than 60 years, Berkeley Eye Center is recognized as one of Texas’ most established comprehensive eye care facilities. In addition to 25 clinics and optical locations located throughout the greater Houston area, the Center also offers patients the added access and convenience of six state-of-the-art laser eye centers throughout Texas.
Earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Cornell University, Dr. Yook was on the Dean’s List. After graduating from Cornell, she attended New York Medical College, where she earned her Master’s degree in Human Physiology, and earned the NYMC Graduate School of Basic Medical Sciences Award in Excellence.
Upon completing her Master’s degree, Dr. Yook went on to earn her medical degree, with distinction in research, from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine in San Antonio. She earned First Place in the Medical Student Research Day, and was an active member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. She then went on to perform her internship in internal medicine at the University of California before completing her residency training in ophthalmology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Finally, she completed a glaucoma fellowship at the New York Ear and Eye Infirmary of Mount Sinai in New York.
Specializing in eye and vision care, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
