Get to know Rheumatologist Dr. Amir Agha, who serves patients in Panama City, Florida.

A board-certified rheumatologist, Dr. Agha works with patients at his private practice – Bay Arthritis Institute – in Panama City, Florida. Backed by solid credentials and a deep commitment, he ensures patients receive the very best rheumatological care in Northwest Florida.

Back in 2007, he graduated with his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in rheumatology at the University of South Florida Morsani School of Medicine in 2010 and 2013, respectively.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Rheumatology is a branch of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic diseases. Physicians who have undergone formal training in rheumatology are called rheumatologists. Rheumatologists, like Dr. Agha, treat arthritis, autoimmune diseases, pain disorders affecting joints, and osteoporosis.
