A highly regarded and board-certified rheumatologist, Dr. Ben-Artzi is dedicated to providing top-quality care to his patients. In 2021, driven by his passion for clinical patient care, he opened his second rheumatology office in Del Mar, California. His practice, Beverly Hills Arthritis Associates, is a testament to his commitment to delivering personalized and comprehensive care to every patient.

Dr. Ben-Artzi is national level expert in the applications of musculoskeletal ultrasound to the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic disease.

Back in the early days of his academic career, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California in Berkeley in 1997, where he also engaged in valuable research. He then pursued his medical doctorate degree (MD) at the Sackler School of Medicine in Israel in 2001, all while conducting significant research at Tel Aviv University in Israel.

The pursuit of knowledge continued as he completed his internal medicine residency in 2004 at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, a renowned institution affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Ben-Artzi’s specialized training in Rheumatology took place at NYU, culminating in 2007. During his time at NYU, he also served as a clinical instructor, highlighting his commitment to educating the next generation of medical professionals.

In 2008, he returned to California, where he assumed a faculty position at the University of California in Los Angeles. His dedication to academic medicine spanned seven years, during which he made valuable contributions to the field of Rheumatology.

As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards of care in a rapidly changing healthcare environment. 

Remaining up to date in his field, Dr. Ben-Artzi is a proud member of the esteemed Cedars Sinai Medical Center staff and is affiliated with the American College of Rheumatology, a testament to his dedication to staying at the forefront of his field. His expertise extends to musculoskeletal ultrasound, as he is RhMSUS certified, and he is also a member of USSONAR, reflecting his commitment to utilizing advanced techniques for diagnosis and treatment. He has published multiple chapters in textbooks, and also multiple manuscripts in peer reviewed journals.

Rheumatology is a branch of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases. Physicians who have undergone formal training in rheumatology are called rheumatologists. Rheumatologists treat arthritis, autoimmune diseases and osteoporosis.

On a more personal note, Dr. Ben-Artzi enjoys a fulfilling personal life with his wife, a pediatrician at Coast Pediatrics, and their three daughters.
