Children’s Health℠ Integrated Therapy A Panda Cares Center of Hope provides transitional pediatric care between acute-care hospitalization and home. It offers coordinated, comprehensive services for children from infancy through age 18 with developmental or birth disorders, traumatic injury and severe illness.
Academically, Dr. Pearson graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2007. She then went on to earn her Medical Degree from Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in 2011, after which she performed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital within the Texas Medical Center from 2011 to 2014.
Passionate about her profession, Dr. Pearson is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Throughout an impressive professional trajectory, Dr. Pearson’s career has unfolded with dedication and expertise. She served as a staff physician within the UT Health Department of Emergency Medicine, contributing from 2014 to 2017. Her commitment to pediatric care then led her to the role of pediatric hospitalist at PEDIATRIX Medical Group, a position she has held since 2018.
Furthering her influence, Dr. Pearson took on the role of voluntary clinical assistant professor at the University of Houston College of Medicine from 2021 to 2022.
Hospital medicine is a medical specialty that exists in some countries as a branch of family medicine or internal medicine, dealing with the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. Pediatric hospitalists are pediatricians who specialize in the care of children primarily in hospitals. They care for children in many hospital areas, including the pediatric ward, labor and delivery, the newborn nursery, the emergency department, and the inpatient psychiatric ward.
