Acupuncturist
419 E Cedar Ave Suite A201 La Center WA, 98629About
Rebecca Kitzerow is a Licensed Acupuncturist practicing in La Center, WA. Rebecca has been in practice since 2006 and evaluates and treats patients using both Chinese and Japanese style Acupucture and Traditional Medicine modalities. As an Acupuncturist, Rebecca completes her evaluations by getting a patient history, feeling pulses and looking at the tongue. Then, very very fine acupuncture needles are inserted into specific points on the body that are uniquely chosen patient by patient depending on the individual presentation. Stimulating these points and activating your individual innate healing ability is how Rebecca treats a wide range of conditions. Many of the bodys systems respond to acupuncture, and it can treat physical pain, digestive issues, help with infertility and women's health, as well as emotional stress and so much more. Rebecca has won numerous Nattie - Natural Awakenings Magazine - consumer choice awards for Favorite Acupuncturist and Holistic Practitioner of the Year, and prides herself on patient-centered care.

Can you help recover after a stroke?
Yes! Acupuncture is excellent for post stroke recovery. Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM is very strong at helping stroke patients recover, and many providers have additional training or certification in what is called Zhu style scalp acupuncture or Jiao style scalp acupuncture which is purported to have a strong neurological affect on the body. ~Rebecca READ MORE
Can chronic headaches be fixed?
Great question and unfortunately it depends on the type of headache. Some chronic headaches can indeed be resolved with acupuncture or other means, especially if they are hormonal or related to tight muscles, other types of chronic headaches can be more recalcitrant and we may be able to decrease their frequency or intensity even if we can't completely eradicate them. The bottom line is that regardless of whether a chronic headache can be completely resolved or not, acupuncture can help make it better so it's worth a try! Every case is different so the best thing to do is make an appointment and try it out. READ MORE

How many acupuncture sessions are needed for tennis elbow?
It depends on the severity of the tennis elbow, it could be 3 sessions or it could be 12. Everyone responds to acupuncture differently so it is good to schedule yourself 4-6 treatments to start and then see what happens. Might take more, might take less. Good luck! ~Rebecca READ MORE
Where are acupuncture needles placed for vertigo?
Because Acupuncture meridians or channels traverse the whole body, treating Vertigo could include needles in the neck, around the ear, in the forearms, hands, lower legs and feet. It could involve a needle or two in each of those places, or it could be just the lower body and hands with nothing on the head or neck at all - it completely depends on your energetic diagnosis and what channels need to be rebalanced. The treatment is unique to you! ~Rebecca READ MORE
Where is the acupuncture point for weight loss?
There is no single or specific point for weight loss, I'm afraid. Acupuncture works by balancing the body's energy or optimizing health and helps you naturally achieve your wellness goals. Each individual's energetic picture and needs are different, and when it comes to weight loss what you need to help your body lose weight might be different from what someone else needs so the acupoints will be different from person to person. In general points on the ear are typically helpful as there are points for helping control appetite there, but those aren't specifically to make your body lose weight. READ MORE
Can acupuncture help with energy levels?

Dizziness after acupuncture
It is highly unlikely that the acupuncturist caused permanent damage with his treatment as acupuncture is a very minimally invasive and quite safe treatment. Without knowing more about the cause of your dizziness and what other assessments you’ve received, the best I can advise is that you tell the acupuncturist ASAP to give him a chance to explain and/or mitigate the situation and then proceed to your primary care or neurologist depending on who is on the case for you with this problem just to be sure you are dotting your i’s and crossing your t’s for health and safety. Does acupuncture work for rhinitis?
Acupuncture can help for rhinitis but, as with most internal medicine concerns compared to pain (which is typically more acute and more easily measured) it can take time so patience with the process of a series of treatments is key. Herbs are also a primary line of treatment for rhinitis, so if you are willing to combine herbs and acupuncture you have an excellent chance of success. Give it a try! ~Rebecca READ MORE

How long after acupuncture do you feel better?
Every case is different so it can be hard to say. With pain, we usually see relatively quick results but the longer you have been suffering from something they longer it can take to resolve. Acupuncture is a natural medicine that works with the body’s natural energy and ability to heal, if you’ve been suffering from something for months, it’s reasonable for it to take weeks to resolve. If you’ve been suffering for years, think months. 12 sessions is a fairly average course of treatment for most issues, I always ask my patients to give me at least 4-6 sessions to make progress, especially if it is a complex case or prolonged course of illness. Hope that helps! Rebecca M H Kitzerow, LAc All Ways Well, LLC www.allwayswell.com allwayswell@mac.com T./F. 360/952-3074 Cell 503/267-5570 READ MORE
Can acupuncture cause miscarriage in early pregnancy?
It is highly unlikely that Acupuncture would cause miscarriage in early pregnancy. There are specific contraindicated points during pregnancy which all acupuncturists are trained not to use at any time during pregnancy, except or until labor induction/cervical ripening is indicated, and even then only with direct patient consent. The likelihood of these points to actually cause miscarriage is very low, however. Acupuncture can be done very safely at any point during pregnancy and can help with many pregnancy related aches, pains and concerns. ~Rebecca READ MORE
Does acupuncture work quickly?
It depends on how your body responds and what you’re coming in for. If you’re coming in for pain that is relatively new/short-lived, you’re highly likely to feel a significant improvement after just one visit, but if you have a chronic condition or concern it will probably take longer to see lasting results. Acupuncture works with the body’s natural healing processes and typically requires a course of treatment to achieve a cumulative result over weeks or months depending. Rebecca M. H. What do you attribute your success to?
- My family. My big brother got me interested in Chinese culture, language and martial arts from a young age when we would hang out and play in SF Chinatown when I was growing up. My father always believed in alternative medicine and got me into Taiji and martial arts as a teen, and I grew up watching my mom do Acupuncture - starting when I was 9 - and Western medicine didn't have a solution for a strange and debilitating problem. Where Western Medicine failed, Acupuncture and Chinese medicine made her functional again, something that was very important as she was caring for myself and my 3 cousins (ages 9 to 14 at the time) as a single mom at the time. Acupuncture literally kept my family together, and when I had digestive problems due to an eating disorder in my 20's - Chinese medicine healed me too.
