Get to know Hospitalist and Family Physician Dr. Amanda Boone, who serves patients in the State of Missouri.

Being a hospitalist and a family physician, Dr. Boone has an abundance of clinical and practical experience that incorporate preventative medicine, along with alternative and holistic principles, into the practice of integrative and functional medicine. 

She practices at Eternity Health & Wellness in Richmond Heights, Missouri. The practice is composed of a team of medical professionals with years of experience and numerous advanced certifications in the most current techniques for IPL therapy, injectables, and chemical peels. They specialize in treatments that help patients to achieve a youthful, balanced, and natural appearance, from head to toe. 

A Major in the Air Force, Dr. Boone can be found on staff at Home Doctors Medical Associates, LLC in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as Mercy Hospital South, which is the third-largest medical center in Greater St. Louis and an affiliate of Mercy. It is the only designated Level II Trauma Center in either South St. Louis County or Jefferson County. 

Throughout her educational background, Dr. Boone studied molecular biology at the University of Texas at Austin from 1998 until 2001. She earned her medical degree from the University of Health Sciences Antigua in the Caribbean. Shortly after, she became board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Hospital medicine in the United States is the medical specialty concerned with the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. Physicians whose primary professional focus is caring for hospitalized patients only while they are in the hospital are called hospitalists. 

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages; the specialist is called a family physician or family doctor.
