Originally from Ohio, Dr. Shall graduated with his undergraduate degree from Ohio State University. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1980, after which he served his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. This was followed by a fellowship at The Christ Hospital in 1986.
Over thirty years ago, he moved to Virginia Beach. Since he arrived in Hampton Roads, he has had the honor to work for several years as a physician for Norfolk State University and Norfolk City schools.
Holding permanent licenses in Ohio, Virginia and North Carolina, Dr. Shall is affiliated with Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, and Sentara Princess Anne Hospital.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS), he is board- certified in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
