Get to know Nephrologist Dr. Kevin P. O’Reilly, who serves patients in Ohio.

Dr. O’Reilly, a board-certified nephrologist, is a partner at Columbus Nephrology, Inc. in Central Ohio.

Proud leaders in the nephrology medical community in Central Ohio, Columbus Nephrology has been providing care to all types of patients with kidney disease for 25 years. The team of board-certified physicians treats patients with the following hypertension and kidney conditions or needs: acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, blood chemistry disorders, anemia, kidney replacement therapy, post kidney transplant care, dialysis, and dialysis access care and interventional procedures (at The Vascular Access Center of Central Ohio). They are dedicated to improving quality of life through dedicated, hands-on, leading-edge medical technology and compassion.

Dr. O’Reilly is affiliated with Mount Carmel East, Mount Carmel West, and Mount Carmel St. Ann’s.

Before embarking on his professional journey, he obtained a pharmacy degree from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 1992 and worked as a registered pharmacist. He graduated with his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1996. He then went on to complete a residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in nephrology at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Dedicated to the care of patients, he is board-certified in nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

A Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN), Dr. O’Reilly is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the National Kidney Foundation, and the Ohio State Medical Association.

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine and pediatric medicine that concerns itself with the kidneys: the study of normal kidney function and kidney disease, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy. A nephrologist is a medical doctor who specializes in kidney care and treating diseases of the kidneys.
