He then went on to perform his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and his fellowship in spine surgery at Hospital for Spinal Surgery.
In 2003, the doctor attained board certification in orthopaedic surgery and surgery of the spine through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Taliwal is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the North American Spine Society, and the Ohio State Medical Association.
