Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Christine Maynard, who serves patients throughout the State of Delaware.

A prominent obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Maynard practices at All About Women, PA, with office locations in Newark, and Wilmington, Delaware. In practice since 1985, she has found her calling in clinical medicine. She enjoys the continuity of care with her patients and loves the challenge of primary care. Specializing in gynecologic surgery and office practice, she is especially interested in education and helping women to understand their condition and options for dealing with problems.

The team of doctors and nurses at All About Women, PA, takes a holistic approach to women’s health in a relaxed, comfortable environment. Their vision is to enhance clinical services and provide better care to their patients by offering quicker appointment times, more locations, and added expertise. They work to treat their patients with the respect they deserve, to be attentive to their needs and to offer comfort, caring and understanding in a professional medical setting.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Maynard earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Neurosciences from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1978. She graduated with her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1981, and went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Wilmington Medical Center for the first 2 years and at Baylor College of Medicine for the last 2 years.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). 

On a more personal note, Dr. Maynard spends much time on the Eastern Shore, walking and trying to capture the art of sailing.
