Dr. Avanesian grew up in Glendale and attended the University of Southern California, where he graduated with honors and completed his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in biological sciences and dental science. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. Dr. Avanesian’s passion for advanced dentistry led him to pursue and further refine his surgical techniques at USC’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, where he mastered the arts of dental implant and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Avanesian is committed to delivering the latest advancement in oral health care for his patients by completing over 500 hours of continuing education in implants, cosmetic dentistry, and laser dentistry. He is also certified in hospital dentistry (IV-sedation/sleep dentistry) and is able to treat medically compromised patients. Furthermore, he is certified in sports dentistry and trauma, currently serving as a dental consultant for multiple local sports clubs.

Dr. Avanesian has graduated from multiple world-renowned institutes, including the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute and the Nobel Biocare Dental Implant Institute.

Dr. Avanesian is a certified invisalign provider.  Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that helps to straighten teeth without the use of the typical metal braces.

Dr. Avanesian is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). The AGD is an organization exclusively dedicated to serving the interests and professional needs of the general dentist, providing resources to succeed.
