Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Margaret “Peggy” O’Driscoll Chapman, who serves patients in New York, New York.

A New York-based pediatrician, Dr. Chapman is affiliated with One Medical, seeing patients at their Tribeca office. She focuses on establishing a trusting and respectful relationship with parents and children to forge a therapeutic alliance. She believes preventive care and parent education are key to raising happy, healthy children-and she feels privileged to be part of the process. She enjoys working with children of all ages, from newborns through adolescents, and is especially interested in child behavior, child development, parenting, and ADHD.

Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Chapman graduated with her medical degree from the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She then went on to complete her residency in pediatrics at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.

An authority in her field, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

In her time off, Dr. Chapman enjoys walking, gardening, skiing, hiking, baking, and reading.
