Following this, Dr. Alvarez completed residencies in internal medicine and dermatology at University Hospital in San Juan, culminating in his board certification in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology in 2010. His academic excellence, exemplified by graduating Magna Cum Laude, led him to become a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Honor Medical Society and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD).
