Dr. Han is a cardiologist and an interventional cardiologist who welcomes patients at Advanced Cardiovascular Therapeutics in Ocala, Florida. Dr. Han is considered an expert in structural heart interventions, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Balloon Aortic Valvuloplasty (BAV), balloon mitral valvuloplasty, percutaneous left atrial appendage closure, and percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects, patent foramen ovale, ventricular septal defects, and paravalvular leaks.
A 1992-graduate of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was honored with the Dr. Spencer Morris Prize, Dr. Han completed an internal medicine residency at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA (1992 – 1995). He then performed a clinical and research fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA (1995 – 1998).
Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease medicine, and interventional cardiology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The American Board of Internal Medicine is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing internal medicine and its subspecialties.
