Dr. Malik Fuimaono is a hospitalist practicing in Mount Vernon, WA. Dr. Fuimaono specializes in the comprehensive medical care of hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, Dr. Fuimaono manages the clinical problems of hospitalized patients and the acutely ill, while working to improve the performance of the hospital. Dr. Fuimaono works in collaboration with all of the different doctors that are working with the patient. Hospitalists are involved in the diagnosis, treatment and medical procedures of patients.
He enjoys teaching the next generation of Physicians to help our aging population. He is a Core faculty for Skagit Internal Medicine program and works with medical students from PNW Medical School in Yakima Washington
He is also passionate about helping patients struggling with obesity. He is from the most obese country in the world American Samoa and has seen several family members lose their lives from being overweight.
