Dr. Donald and Dr. Mitchell Solverson are a father-son duo who are currently serving patients’ dental needs at their family dental practice – Rochester Family Dentistry – in Rochester, Michigan. Together, they continue the tradition of excellence started by Dr. John Solverson at the very same location in 1960. “It has been an honor and a privilege to watch the family business grow over the years, thanks to my son, Don, and now to have by grandson be part of this legacy brings me pure joy” as stated by Dr. John Solverson.
Rochester Family Dentistry treats the entire family, from a child’s first visit to the special needs of geriatric patients and everyone in between. The dental practice offers a wide range of services, including GLO whitening, snoring therapy, cosmetic dentistry, sedation dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, and more.
Dr. Donald is a second-generation dentist who has been practicing dentistry at the same Rochester location since 1988. He became owner and primary practitioner of Rochester Family Dentistry in 1997, following in his father’s footsteps. He has special interests and extensive expertise in endodontics, all aspects of complex restorative dentistry, dental implants, and Invisalign orthodontics.
Dr. Donald earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. His 30 years of clinical experience is enhanced by ongoing continuing education. Each year, he attends several Advanced Dental Continuing Education courses. Dr. Donald and his wife, Annette, live in Rochester with their three children.
Dr. Mitchell is a third-generation dentist. He joined his father at Rochester Family Dentistry in 2014, the same year he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience and evolutionary anthropology from the University of Michigan in 2010.
Dr. Mitchell and his wife, Alicia, live in Lake Orion. In his spare time, Dr. Mitchell enjoys reading, sailing, playing golf and tennis, as well as skiing.
