David Robert Weber, MD, an infectious disease specialist currently serving patients at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center McKeesport. To begin his career, Dr. Weber attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine and graduated in 1981. From there, he went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Wanting to further his education, he completed his fellowship in infectious disease at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. With over 40 years of experience in the field, Dr. Weber is board-certified in infectious disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. As an attribute to his success, he was voted among the 2012 Best Doctors by Pittsburgh Magazine. In addition, Dr. Weber is the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award in 2015 and 2018, as well as the On-Time Doctor Award in 2018.
