Alongside his clinical role, he serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

Born into a family of physicians, Dr. Adler graduated with his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Târgu Mureş in Romania in 1987. He completed his residency in Internal medicine and his fellowship in Cardiology at “Sheba” Medical Center in Israel, after which he relocated to the United States. There, he served his fellowship in Heart failure / Transplantation at the University of California, San Diego where he graduated in 2004.

Extremely passionate about his profession, he is board-certified in Internal medicine, Cardiovascular disease and Advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Having made an impact in his field with outstanding performance, Dr. Adler is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the Heart Failure Society of America (FHFSA). He is also very involved in research on heart failure patients.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).
