The doctor affiliated with several hospitals in the Detroit Metro area, including Harper University Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Hutzel Hospital, Rehabilitation Center of Michigan, St. John’s Oakland Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Beaumont Hospital. Since June of 2005, he has been serving as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan.
Prior to his current endeavours, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Wayne State University School of Medicine from June 1995 until December 2000. He also served as the Chief of Dermatology at Harper University Hospital - Wayne State University from 1997 until 2001. Among his teaching awards, he was the recipient of the Best Teacher - Department of Dermatology (1999 and 2002) and Best Clinical Faculty - Fourth-Year Medical Student (2001).
In 1991, Dr. Moiin earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis. Prior to that, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the Division of Pharmacology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his Master of Arts (MA) from the Department of Biology at the same educational venue. He completed residency training in dermatology at Wayne State University School of Medicine after a year of internal medicine training in San Francisco. He received additional training in cosmetic dermatology at Tulane University Medical Center.
In addition to being President of Shirin Ebadi Foundation, the doctor serves on the Executive Board of Peace Jam, which consists of 12 Nobel Peace Laureates. He holds two patents, including the Use of Light for Treatment of Molluscum (pending 2004) and Mochemical Peel (pending 2005).
