Edward Shalts, MD, ABPN, D.Ht., is a leading psychiatrist currently serving patients at his private practice in New York City, New York. Throughout his twenty years of practice, he has accrued extensive expertise in ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, homeopathic medicine, psychiatric care, PTSD, and depression. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Diplomate of the American Board of Homeotherapeutics, Diplomate of the American Board of Homeotherapeutics (D.Ht.), Founding Diplomate of the American Board of Holistic Medicine, and Past Vice President of the National Center for Homeopathy and a Vice President of American Institute of Homeopathy. After earning his medical degree in 1982 at Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, Dr. Shalts completed his residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and fellowship at Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia University Medical Center. In 1988, his family and himself left Russia. Almost everything in his professional carrier had to be rebuilt. Dr. Shalts was very fortunate to get a position as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the field of neuroendocrinology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. He completed numerous courses with the National Center for Homeopathy and a professional course with the Center for Homeopathic Education and Development of the BOIRON Institute. Dr. Shalts is a graduate of the New England School of Homeopathy and was honored to study with one of the greatest homeopaths, George Vithoulkas, and took an intense course with Rajan Sankaran. He also studied with Roger Morrison and Nancy Herrick.
