Dr. Michael C. Stiles, medical director of Stiles Eyecare Excellence (SEE), has garnered both regional and national acclaim for his pioneering work in the field of ophthalmology, particularly in the treatment of cataracts and glaucoma. With over three decades of experience, he is dedicated to employing the latest techniques and technologies to enhance patient outcomes, ensuring that those in the Greater Kansas City region receive the highest standard of eye care.

Graduating from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, he completed his ophthalmology residency and further honed his expertise through a prestigious fellowship in anterior segment surgery and glaucoma at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Since establishing his solo practice in 2002, Dr. Stiles has continued to expand his vision of providing exceptional eye care, culminating in the opening of SEE in August 2006. This state-of-the-art facility, conveniently located with access to Deer Creek Surgery Center, enables comprehensive consultations, testing, examinations, and surgeries all under one roof.

A passionate contributor to the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Stiles has published nearly 70 articles in leading medical journals and has participated in numerous clinical research initiatives. His commitment to innovation led to the formation of a dedicated research department at SEE, which actively engages in clinical studies for surgical devices and pharmaceuticals.

In addition to his clinical work, he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, educating the next generation of ophthalmologists. He is a board-certified member of the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds membership in various prestigious organizations, including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Glaucoma Society.

As a testament to his success, Dr. Stiles has received multiple accolades for his contributions to medicine, including recognition as one of America's Best Doctors for several consecutive years. He and his wife, Dr. Michella Stiles, reside in Leawood, Kansas, where they enjoy family time with their two daughters, Regan and Caterina.
