Prior to joining the RWJ Center for Women’s Health, Dr. Brickner founded Lawrence OB-Gyn Associates and the Brickner-Mantell Center for Women’s Health. He also served as Director and Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton/Director, Robert Wood Johnson OB/Gyn from 1996 until 2001. 

Academically, Dr. Brickner obtained his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. 

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Not only is Dr. Brickner a skilled physician, he is also a highly decorated Colonel in the New Jersey Army National Guard Medical Corps. He has served three tours of duty in the Middle East, showcasing his commitment to both medicine and military service.
