At the start of her academic career, Dr. Lewis earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Mississippi. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry, as well as her Certificate of Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Thereafter, Dr. Lewis was accepted into a two-year pediatric dental residency at Virginia Commonwealth University and received a Master of Science degree in Dentistry. There, she received the specialized training and advanced education required to treat children of all ages and with special needs. Dr. Lewis served as an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Dentistry at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Lewis has served as the President of the Virginia Society of Pediatric Dentistry and is board-certified through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and a Fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy, Dr. Lewis is a member of the Virginia Dental Association, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the Richmond Association of Women Dentists, the American Association of Women Dentists, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Offering award-winning care for children, Dr. Lewis has been recognized by Richmond Magazine as one of the “Top Dentists” for Pediatric Dentistry (2020) and has received Our Health Richmond Magazine’s “Best Bedside Manner Award” for Pediatric Dentistry (2018 and 2019).
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children as well as traveling with her family.
