Dr. Shayeb, a renowned obstetrician-gynecologist, co-founded The Augury for Women’s Health & Midwifery in 2014, serving as Chief Executive Officer. Over the past decade, he has delivered comprehensive women’s healthcare, offering outpatient gynecological services, annual health assessments, labor and delivery care, and advanced surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic surgeries for women across all life stages. His practice uniquely integrates midwifery’s holistic approach with the supervision and expertise of dedicated physicians.

Dr. Shayeb’s multifaceted role includes holding regular office hours, providing 24-hour in-house care each Wednesday, performing surgeries, and overseeing primary and delivery care for his obstetric and gynecologic patients. Since 2013, he has also shared his expertise with future medical professionals at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where he has been director of clerkship and associate residency program director in OB-GYN since 2020. He served as director of Wyckoff’s Women’s Health Center from 2014 to 2015.

A graduate of Damascus University with a Doctor of Medicine, Dr. Shayeb completed his residency training at NYU’s Brooklyn campus in 2010 and became a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist in 2012. Fluent in English, Spanish, Arabic, and French, he is an elected fellow of both the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Beyond his clinical and academic contributions, Dr. Shayeb supports his community through his volunteer and philanthropic work with Syrian Youth Empowerment, a nonprofit that aids students from conflict zones in pursuing higher education in the U.S.

Among his career’s many accomplishments, Dr. Shayeb transformed The Augury into a thriving women’s health and midwifery practice, overcoming challenges with unwavering dedication to patient care and academic excellence. He has been recognized with several awards, including the presidential award in Syria for academic achievement, the Best Resident Teaching Award in 2008, and the Resident Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic and Robotic Surgery in 2010.
