Dr. Chad Welter Shares His Journey and Dedication to Chiropractic Care

Dr. Chad Welter, a passionate chiropractor and community advocate, is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of the Overland Park community at his private practice, Active Family Chiropractic. With a diverse background in sports and personal experiences with chiropractic care, he understands the profound impact that an active lifestyle can have on overall health. His dedication extends beyond the clinic as he actively participates in local initiatives aimed at fostering community wellness.

Raised in a small town, his chiropractic journey began with witnessing the transformative effects of chiropractic care on his neighbors and friends. “I remember hearing people talk about how the local Chiropractor helped them get back to work without pain, whether it was working cattle, gardening, or simply enjoying the outdoors,” he recalls. This early exposure to chiropractic’s benefits sparked his interest in pursuing a career that prioritizes health and activity.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Medical Diagnostic Imaging from Fort Hays State University in 2006, Dr. Welter graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park in 2012. Since then, he has treated a diverse clientele, including children, seniors, and athletes, demonstrating that chiropractic care is beneficial for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Dr. Welter has also worked with multiple professional sports teams and athletes. Dr. Welter uses a High Intensity Laser Therapy machine to help people recover faster.

As an athlete, he experienced firsthand the importance of maintaining physical health. Growing up, he played multiple sports year-round, often finding himself sidelined by injuries. “Our local Chiropractor was instrumental in helping us recover quickly from sports injuries,” he explains. “Regular visits ensured that we could maintain an active lifestyle.” This personal journey solidified his belief in chiropractic care as a means to promote health and vitality.

Dr. Welter’s philosophy revolves around the importance of an active lifestyle. “As someone who can’t sit still for long, I empathize with those who are limited by pain,” he shares. His own experiences, including a brief stint in bull riding during college, reinforced his appreciation for chiropractic care. “Chiropractic has allowed me to continue pursuing my passions, from hitting the gym to fishing and golfing,” he states. “My goal is to help others achieve that same level of activity and enjoyment in their lives.”

In addition to his clinical work, he is deeply committed to community involvement. He is a proud member of the Overland Park Rotary Club and works with many local charities.  His dedication to the future generation is evident as he actively hosts local students for shadowing opportunities, helping them learn about the chiropractic profession. Dr. Welter also donated a laser to his alma mater in efforts to teach future students of the technology to help their patients.
