After relocating to the United States, he completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Cleveland Clinic.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic, he served as an attending cardiac surgeon at The Valley-Columbia Heart Center in New Jersey and Clinical Assistant professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine in New York. He is an Associate Fellow in the American College of Cardiology and a member of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, among other organizations.
