A native of the Pasadena area, Dr. Rusnack attended the Polytechnic School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Rice University. She graduated with her medical degree from the Jefferson Medical College, and continued on to Columbia University – New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she completed her residency in urology and served as Chief Resident. Finally, she completed her fellowship in laparoscopic and robotic surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in urology through the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.

Among her professional affiliations, she is an active member of the American Urology Association, the American Urology Association Western Section, the Society of Robotic Surgery, the Los Angeles Urological Association, and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health.

Initially, Dr. Rusnack practiced urology in northern New Jersey. During that time, she honed her robotic skills and began to apply them to pelvic floor reconstruction in women. While practicing in New Jersey, she was also a Clinical Professor for the Columbia University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in urogynecology. After a 21 year absence, she returned to the Los Angeles area to continue her practice.
