Experience and Expertise in General Dentistry Sets Dr. Kim Apart

Dr. Kim, a distinguished periodontist, boasts a wealth of experience in clinical dentistry, with a particular focus on general dentistry. His journey began in 1987, and over the years, he has honed his skills in various settings across Australia, Korea, and California, including private practices, hospital environments, and academic institutions. He currently maintains a specialty private practice, with offices in both Diamond Bar and Garden Grove, California.

Pertaining to his educational pursuits, he graduated from the University of Sydney Faculty of Dentistry in 1986, followed by an advanced degree in pathology from the Medical School of the University of Sydney in 1988. He later pursued master's degrees in public health and oral biology, culminating in a three-year specialty residency training program in periodontics and implant surgery at UCLA School of Dentistry. 

Passionate about his profession, Dr. Kim’s commitment to excellence led to his board certification by the American Board of Periodontology (ABP) and the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID), making him a rare dual board-certified specialist in the nation.

In addition to his specialty practices in California, he is actively involved in educating future dental professionals. He serves as a lecturer at UCLA School of Dentistry and is a sought-after international speaker, presenting at prestigious conferences and universities worldwide. His research contributions have been published in esteemed scientific journals and dental textbooks, solidifying his reputation as a leading authority in the field.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Kim finds fulfillment in family life and community service. He is married to Dr. Connie Kyung Choi, a fellow dentist, and together, they are proud parents of three boys. He actively participates in boy scout activities, demonstrating his commitment to nurturing the next generation.
