  • Can hearing loss due to ageing be reversed?

Hearing loss typically cannot be reversed but depending on the cause of loss, sometimes it can (if there is a mechanical issue with the ear). I recommend a comprehensive hearing test with an audiologist to pinpoint the severity of the loss and which part of the ear is causing the loss! READ MORE

  • My son is having trouble hearing. What can we do?

I recommend taking your son to a learning university for more in-depth testing. Some types of hearing loss cannot be detected on a basic hearing test. I personally recommend Towson Univeristy! READ MORE

  • Can excess wax secretion be a problem?

Excessive wax production should be managed by a professional such as an Audiologist or Ear Nose Throat Physician. A wax impaction can cause temporary hearing loss and discomfort and should be removed as quickly as possible. Please do not use q-tips to combat the wax on your own, this usually just pushes the wax further in and makes it more difficult to remove! READ MORE

  • Why am I hearing less on the phone?

If you notice a difference between the ears while on the phone, I recommend having a baseline hearing test to confirm your ears are performing the same! The phone is generally harder to hear on because of factors like cell reception, not being able to see the person’s face you are speaking to, if they are talking on their speaker phone, how noisy the surrounding environment is, etc. READ MORE
