Originally from Oceanside, she is a graduate of Cornell University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha – the national medical honor society. After completing her internship in medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and a clinical research fellowship at the University of California in San Francisco; Dr. Weinstein finished her residency in dermatology at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. There she served as Chief Resident. Following residency, she completed a Mohs surgical and procedural fellowship in Greenvale, New York.
Following her academic career, Dr. Weinstein earned fellowship status with the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Moreover, she became board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD certifies physicians in dermatology, dermatopathology, and pediatric dermatology. It is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties.
