Get to know Gastroenterologist Dr. Lawrence Ottaviano, who serves patients in New York, New York.

An excellent gastroenterologist, with over 30 years of experience. Office is located at 60 Gramercy Park north and procedures are performed at Gramercy Park Digestive Disease Center in New York City.  He also serves as a Clinical Instructor within the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

Educated in the United States, Dr. Ottaviano earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his internship, residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in gastroenterology at the Cabrini Medical Center.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in gastroenterology and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders. A gastroenterologist is a physician who has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the esophagus, stomach, small intestines, colon, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
