Laverne L. Miller, MD, joined the Family Health Centers of Community Memorial Hospital in 1981. He has served as Chief of Staff at CMH and is the Medical Director at Hickory Creek Care Center, Hicksville, Ohio. In 2001 he was declared Ohio Family Physician of the Year. In 1988 Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics was earned and remains current. In 1992 Certified Medical Director in Long Term Care was added and in 2016 he satisfied the requirements as a Diplomat in American Board of Obesity Medicine. Since 2010 he also serves as the Medical Director of the Lutheran Health Weight Management Center in Ft.Wayne, IN. Part of his community service is serving as Member of Board of Directors, Christian Aid Ministries, Berlin, Ohio since 1994.
