Dr. Roberts is a leading primary care and sports medicine physician who welcomes patients at Bon Secours Physical Therapy in Midlothian, Virginia. He is also the Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program at Bon Secours. Prior to his current endeavors, he served as one of the team physicians in the sports medicine department at Duke University Medical Center. 

Dr. Roberts attended Mary Washington College for his undergraduate degree. He received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia in 2004. He then completed a family medicine residency (2004-2007) and sports medicine fellowship (2007-2008) at Duke University Medical Center. 

Subsequent to his training, Dr. Roberts attained board certification in family medicine and sports medicine and sports medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine. The American Board of Family Medicine is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Sports medicine is a branch of medicine that deals with physical fitness and the treatment and prevention of injuries related to sports and exercise.

Dr. Roberts is a Fellow of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, as well as Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He is currently licensed to practice medicine in Virginia and North Carolina and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine
