Dr. Rubis is a Joliet native who graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy in 1997. In 2001, he graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then continued his education at the Marquette University School of Dentistry, where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2005.
Dr. Rubis regularly participates in courses on modern techniques and materials in the field of dentistry in order to improve his craft. In addition, he regularly attends seminars presented by the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry (WCMID). The WCMID was formed in 1999 by a group of concerned dentists, researchers and educators committed to the concept of minimally invasive care. Minimally invasive dentistry is based on the principle that no dental treatment or material is better than healthy tissue.
Dr. Rubis has attended IAOM and Sleep Group Solutions learning from the leading experts in the fields of orthodontics, myofunctional therapy, sleep dentistry, and TMJ therapy. He has also participated in Rondeau Seminars on orthodontics.
Dr. Rubis is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI), a Fellow of the International Association of Orthodontics (FIAO), and a Diplomate of the International Association of Orthodontists (DIAO).
