Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Marla Robbins, who serves patients in Orlando, Florida.

Trusted pediatrician, Dr. Robbins, practices alongside Drs. Lauri Kayaleh and Maxine Silverman at Personal Pediatrics in Orlando, Florida. The trio combine their knowledge with excellent listening skills and compassion to build trusting relationships with their patients and families.

“Personal Pediatrics provides “personalized care for the pediatric patient.” We provide medical care and well care to infants, children, and adolescents by partnering with parents to achieve optimum health for your child. Our goal is to provide expertise in the extensive range of pediatric care from newborn to young adulthood” as stated on the practice’s website.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Robbins earned her medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico in 1979. Upon relocating to the United States, she went on to serve her residencies in pediatrics at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. After starting a pediatric primary care office which expanded to a multi-provider group, she decided to “get back to basics” and opened Personal Pediatrics in the community which she loves.

“We strive to be respectful and make all our families feel welcomed in the office and appreciate the confidence we have been given to care for their loved ones. The greatest compliment I can be given is a referral of a new family by an existing patient family or seeing a second generation newborn” as stated by the doctor.

Named one of The Top and Best Doctors in Orlando multiple times by Orlando Magazine, Dr. Robbins is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, which is primarily accountable to children, from infants to young adults, and their families as it guides professional self-regulation and certifies pediatricians. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the Central Florida Pediatric Society.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. As a pediatrician, Dr. Robbins provides medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. She is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.

Among her numerous accolades, she is the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014), On-Time Doctor Award (2015), and Patients’ Choice Award (2010, 2011, 2012, 2015).

In her personal life, Dr. Robbins is the mother of three daughters and a grandmother to six grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, working to stay fit, and spending time at Publix.
