Get to know Reproductive Endocrinologist & Infertility Specialist Dr. Christopher Montville, who serves patients throughout the State of Tennessee.

A skilled reproductive endocrinologist and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) expert, Dr. Montville is a Partner and Practice Director for Tennessee Fertility Institute, with office locations in Nashville, and Franklin, Tennessee. His specialties include diagnosing and treating infertility, fertility preservation, and LGBTQ+ parents wanting to start a family.

“I am committed to providing compassionate care during each patient’s journey to parenthood. The infertility journey can be long and difficult, and my approach includes building a relationship with each patient and creating a unique treatment plan that helps the patient achieve their goal of parenthood,” expressed Dr. Montville.

Before embarking on his professional journey, he graduated with his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in obstetrics & gynecology at the University of Michigan Hospitals, and his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology & infertility at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in reproductive endocrinology & infertility, and obstetrics & gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

After completing his education and training, Dr. Montville moved to Montana where he developed and managed the first IVF and fertility-focused center in the state. It provided services to patients from a 500-mile radius who previously had no other fertility care options.

Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to the reproduction, as well as the issue of infertility. While most REI specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are trained to also evaluate and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females and males after the reproductive years.

A life-long lover of music, Dr. Montville studied classical piano performance while in college. He spends most of his free time with his loving family. Enjoying the outdoors, his favorite hobbies are fly fishing, skiing, boating, and reading historical non-fiction.
