Dr. Larry Diaz-Sandoval, MD, FACC, FSCAI, FAHA, FSVM, FACP is a highly respected Interventional Cardiologist and Peripheral Endovascular Interventionist who continues to provide exceptional care and support to his patients at Metro Health-University of Michigan Health Hospital in Wyoming, Michigan. Throughout his fourteen years of practice, he has extensive expertise in Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular Diseases, and General Cardiology.

After earning his medical degree in 1996 at Universidad Central de Venezuela, Dr. Diaz-Sandoval completed his internship, internal medicine residency, and cardiovascular disease medicine fellowship at Tufts University School of Medicine, followed by his interventional cardiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He then went onto further sub-specialization by performing an advanced fellowship in Peripheral Vascular Interventions at Metro Health Hospital (Michigan State University), under the tutelage of Dr Jihad Mustapha. He has since become a well recognized and respected national and international key opinion leader in the field of peripheral interventions for patients with critical limb ischemia.

He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as board certified in Endovascular Medicine by the American Board of Vascular Medicine.  He is a Fellow of the Society of Vascular Medicine, Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and Fellow of the American Heart Association. Additionally, in order to stay up to date on all medical advancements in his field, he maintains an active professional membership with the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Vascular Medicine, the American Heart Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
