Roslyn Stahl, M.D., is a Board- certified and fellowship- trained Ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery as well as the medical, laser and surgical treatment of glaucoma. Dr. Stahl completed a residency in ophthalmology at The University of Michigan-Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor as well as a fellowship in glaucoma at Columbia University Edward Harkness Eye Institute. In addition to her work in private practice, she is a member of the faculty at Columbia, where she teaches residents cataract and glaucoma surgery.
In addition to her expertise in glaucoma, Dr. Stahl is also recognized for her work with minimally invasive, “small incision, no needle, no stitch, no patch” outpatient cataract surgery using only “eye drop anesthesia”, state-of-the-art techniques and Intraocular Lens Implants (IOL). She is committed to helping patients with cataracts become independent of eyeglasses using near vision presbyopia correcting multifocal lens implants. As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Stahl prides herself on providing compassionate, thorough and personalized care for her patients.
During her fellowship and beyond, she has been the recipient of multiple teaching awards. She was also awarded the Walter K. Parker Award at the University of Michigan for her dedication to teaching residents and medical students.
Dr. Stahl is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the medical honors society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
She is a graduate of The University of Michigan and earned her medical degree magna cum laude from the State University of New York (SUNY)-Downstate Health Sciences Center.
