Get to know Family Physician Dr. Marc Harrigan, who cares for patients in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Harrigan, a highly respected family physician, established Concierge Medicine of Buckhead in 2018, to provide patients with a uniquely personalized experience.

A firm believer that a trusting and honest relationship between doctor and patient is essential to  family medicine, Dr. Harrigan’s goal is to provide comprehensive healthcare to all of his patients. Empha­sizing a proactive approach to both disease prevention and wellness, his interests include hypertension, diabetes, chronic disease management, obesity management, and nutritional well-being. 

“My philosophy of patient care is simple. I care for every patient as if they were a cherished family member, and in fact, I consider them exactly that,” he says.  

With almost two decades of primary care experience, Dr. Harrigan served as the Regional Medical Director at Piedmont Hospital (2013-2018), a physician at Piedmont Hospital (2008-2018), a physician at Cobb Family Medicine, (2005-2008), and as a physician at Sentara Healthcare in Norfolk (2000-2005). In 2018, he worked with Specialdocs Consultants to launch his personalized medicine practice, Concierge Medicine of Buckhead.

Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the Academy of Family Physicians, the Atlanta Medical Association, the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, and the Medical Association of Georgia.

Dr. Harrigan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Brown University in 1991 and his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1997. He completed his internship at St Joseph Medical Center in Stamford in 1998 and residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in 2000.

He is board-certified in family medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

Actively involved in his community, Dr. Harrigan is a volunteer coach at Northside Youth Organization and sits on several non-profit boards. In 2011, he received the distinguished Leadership Atlanta recognition. A devoted husband and father of two boys, Dr. Harrigan enjoys doing fitness, traveling, playing golf, as well as spending time with his family and friends.
