She obtained her Medical Degree in 1991 and completed her ophthalmology specialty at the esteemed Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montreal. She further honed her skills by undertaking a glaucoma fellowship at the same institution, graduating with Summa Cum Laude in 1996.

Professionally, Dr. Rioux holds board certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology and is recognized as a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Her illustrious career is underscored by her membership in prestigious organizations such as the Medical Council of Canada, the Quebec Medical Association, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the New England Glaucoma Society, and the New England Ophthalmological Society.
