Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Richard A. Conlen, who serves patients in Boca Raton, Florida.

Dr. Conlen is an experienced obstetrician-gynecologist, advanced endometrial ablation specialist, and advanced laparoscopic surgeon. He leads Boca Raton Obstetrics and Gynecology, offering comprehensive gynecology and obstetrics for women and girls starting from age 12. 

Women rely upon Boca Raton Obstetrics and Gynecology for all their routine and preventive reproductive health needs, including annual exams and screenings, and accurate diagnosis and treatment when abnormal bleeding, an abnormal Pap smear, or other type of menstrual issue occurs. Advanced in-office testing includes ultrasound, cystometrics, bone densitometry, and much more. They offer a number of noninvasive and minimally invasive treatments, including pelvic rehab, hysteroscopy, LEEP, robotic surgery, and colposcopy. Scholastically, Dr. Conlen earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry from Florida Atlantic University and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Florida Southern University. He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Medicine Degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine.

Holding himself to the highest standard of care, Dr. Conlen is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Having been practicing in Boca Raton for over 30 years, Dr. Conlen has affiliations with the Boca Raton Community Hospital and Bethesda Memorial Hospital. He is also the Medical Director for R&G Medical and Development Corporation. 

Maintaining active medical licenses in Florida and New Jersey, Dr. Conlen has served as the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boca Raton Community Hospital, worked with Planned Parenthood of Hackensack, and was the Medical Director for Youth Consultation Services.

On a professional level, he is affiliated with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the Florida Obstetric and Gynecological Society, the Florida Medical Association, the Palm Beach County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (Fellow). He also has a permanent ECFMG Certificate.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health.
