Dr. Welz received his D. M. D. from Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry in 1978. From 1978 to 1992 he was the Course Director of Pre-Clinical Fixed Prosthetics and Dental Anatomy courses at BU Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry and has lectured at various professional venues, including the Yankee Dental Congress and local dental study groups. He has owned his own practice for 40 years and does his own in-house lab work. Along with his highly skilled dental technician, they has been able to complete thousands of restorations right in his own office. This cuts out the middle-man dental auxiliary lab and allows him to customize your restoration and follow it every step of the way.
Dr. Welz's focus has always been on maintaining a practice that is honest and reliable--his goal is to help patients keep their teeth for a lifetime. He educates patients and helps them have a better understanding of their overall health. Dr. Welz and his team strive daily to provide the best dental care that everyone needs and deserves. Education and prevention are paramount at our practice and are put at the forefront of providing care. Our friendly and highly skilled hygienists aid patients with this by providing them the tools they need to maintain their teeth with self-care at home. Dr. Welz is adamantly diligent about keeping up with the latest dental technology and research. He believes that continuous education is the key to unlocking the mysteries of the body, including teeth.
This is why we love new patients and we love new patient appointments! . It also allows us to get to know you and understand any concerns, questions or fears you might have. Dr. Welz typically schedules 2 hours for a new patient exam to allow for examination and education. Every patient gets a “big tooth picture” and is encouraged to ask questions about anything!
