Her clinical interests, specialized training and research interests include hydrocephalus, Chiari I malformation, congenital conditions and pediatric CNS tumors. She is trained in specialized techniques for treatment of tumors and epilepsy including endoscopic surgery and laser interstitial thermal therapy.

She began her career in medicine after graduating with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009.

Subsequently, she went on to complete her residency in neurosurgery at the Hofstra Northshore/LIJ School of Medicine in 2015, and her fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University in California in 2016.

Passionate about her profession, the doctor is board-certified in neurological surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the use of surgery to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

As for her academic appointments, Dr. Loven is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Drexel University College of Medicine.
