Dr. Joshua Paul Werblin, MD
Adolescent Psychiatrist | Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Jacksonville Jacksonville FL, 32218About
Greetings! I'm Dr. Joshua Werblin, a dedicated psychiatrist with a compassionate approach to care. My practice is a sanctuary for individuals of all ages seeking mental wellness.
My journey began at The University of Chicago, where I delved into the fundamentals of society and its utopian ideals. I took a somewhat circuitous path from there, working in different fields for nearly a decade before starting to study for my medical degree (M.D.) at Tulane University School of Medicine. During those ten years, I worked variously as a biophysicist, wooden boatbuilder, IT support, astrophysics technical work, and an Auxiliary NYPD officer in Harlem.
I completed a Pediatrics Internship at Tulane University, followed by a narrower focus in General Psychiatry Residency training, also at Tulane. I then received subspecialty fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Seattle Children's Hospital/University of Washington, followed by the acquisition of Addiction Psychiatry sub-specialization some years later.
My career has been diverse, including roles as an Inpatient Psychiatrist, Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist, and several Outpatient Psychiatry positions in New York, Florida, and Maryland. More than half of my career has been spent serving the most underserved and marginalized populations, such as youth and women rescued from the sex trade, runaway youth, homeless families, LGBTQIA++ populations, and undocumented immigrants.
Since 2019, I've been proudly serving as 'The Feelings Doctor' in my solo virtual practice, offering psychiatric care for children, adolescents, adults, and those facing addiction challenges.
My commitment to you is simple: to provide empathetic, individualized, evidence-based care that supports your unique journey toward mental health wellness, whether or not you choose to use medications along the way. Let's work together to navigate life's challenges and embrace the path to healing and fulfillment.

Is my child having panic attacks?
Without meeting him and getting more information from yourself, it is difficult to know what is happening or why. I would be reluctant to assume it is panic disorder without an evaluation. Though panic disorders do exist in young children, anxiety at this age often manifests with this sort of behavior as well. There are several options that could help, both medical and non-medical, depending upon the severity of the issue and in what settings they most often happen. Thanks, JPW READ MORE
Can I do anything to stop my child from wetting the bed?
Hello, There are many reasons a child can have nocturnal enuresis (nighttime bedwetting). These reasons can be medical and/or psychiatric. Depending upon the cause, there are medications and behavioral techniques that can help with this. Thank you, Joshua Paul Werblin, M.D. READ MORE
