Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Keith Ramsey, who serves patients in Lake Station, Indiana.

A seasoned obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Ramsey, who has been in private practice in Chicago and Northwest Indiana for many years, is also an integral part of the Lake Station NorthShore Health Center OB/GYN team.

Educated in the United States, he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California, and attended medical school at the Meharry Medical College. Finally, he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Northwestern Medical Center.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics & gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Ramsey has been the recipient of the Patients' Choice Award (2018, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2018, 2016).

On a more personal note, his dedication to the art of healing and providing quality health care for women of all ages does not leave him much time for relaxation. When he does get a chance to relax, he can be found entertaining audiences of all ages by singing Karaoke style.
