Completing her undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University then attending Ross University School of Medicine, graduating in 1999,  she further honed her skills through internship at Western Pennsylvania Hospital for general surgery and residency programs at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, LAC-King/Drew Medical Center. 

As a testament to her success, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
