Is eye pain normal after rhinoplasty?
Eye pain is never normal. You should visit your opthalmologist. I do not think rhinoplasty has caused your eye pain but I don't what have been done and how your surgeon did it. You can go ask him what he think may possibly make the eye swelling or some nerves or blood vessels that come from the face and the nose. Sorry I can't really answer your question. It may cause your eye pain but very unlikely. So check within your doctors since they can exam your eyes. Thank you for your question. READ MORE
Is local anesthesia used for eyelid plastic surgery?
Some surgeons may do eyelid surgery under general anesthesia, especially when it is combined with other surgical procedures. It can be under local anesthesia, and usually it is. I do it under local anesthesia and some sedation as needed. READ MORE
Does a chin implant leave a scar?
Yes, any surgery will leave a scar. We can only place it where it is not so obvious. With chin implant you can make the incision inside your mouth. It may cause more problems just like you go to a dentist and have some surgical procedures that need to cut through the soft tissues since we have to cut to the bone. But you can do it through the skin. READ MORE
Is blepharoplasty safe?
Yes, it safe. Since we only remove the redundant skin, sometimes a bit of fat, it should not affect the vision; but uncontrolled bleeding may cause serious adverse consequences. Most of the complications I have seen is too much skin removed and the aesthetic expectation. So just consult the surgeon and he or she can tell you if your expectation can be achieved. READ MORE
Can you get rid of fat under the chin?
Yes, you can do it with liposuction. Still you you have the skin remained. If it shrink, you will have a good result, but you may see it still there because of the sagging skin under your chin may need to be removed too. READ MORE
Can eye bags return after blepharoplasty?
When you treat the eye bags, if you remove the fat, it will not be returned. The problem is either you still have some skin remained than it should be removed, but more likely you have tissue loss, including the fat around there, and loosing sagging down muscles. So removing the fat may not help. READ MORE
Can I speed up my facelift recovery?
Thank you for your question. I don't know your health condition and what facelift techniques your surgeon did and how he did the dressing. Just follow your surgeon's postoperative instructions. Take the medicines you were prescribed. My advice now is just eat nutritious meals and do daily activities as tolerated. Every person recovers differently; to be honest you can't do much to speed up the healing process but to prevent the problems. READ MORE
Is eyelid plastic surgery permanent?
Hi Thank you for your question. It depends on your skin and soft tissue under your eyelid skin. Every person is different. You are unique the way you body changes with time. We all lose skin elasticity and fat and muscles under the skin in the process of aging. When you remove the relatively redundant skin, your look improves but the aging process continues and you may need to fill the deficit area to look more like you when you are younger. You know, nothing is permanent. So it is your choice to do it earlier to look better for a time after the the procedure is done. You will be happy if you don't expect a dramatic improvement (you may get it if your case favors the outcome). I need to see you to give you my opinion for your specific case. I just give you a general explanation. So consult your surgeon about your case. Be healthy first! READ MORE
What is the best procedure to tighten the neck?
Thank you for your question. It depends on your condition. There is no best necklift procedure for everyone. You should consult your surgeon telling him or her what you are concerned about and he or she can explain to you what he can do for you to improve it. I do need to see you before I can tell you if I can improve your look and what procedure I will do to get the outcome. As any medical treatment, diagnosis is the first step then see if we treat it using what's available. Be healthy first! READ MORE
