Dr. Gonzales, a leading orthopedic surgeon at Elliot Hospital, is spearheading a groundbreaking initiative focused on improving the perioperative care pathway for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement surgeries. Having dedicated his career to advancing techniques in adult hip and knee replacement surgery, his expertise spans a range of procedures, including anterior hip replacement, partial knee replacement, outpatient joint replacement, and revision surgeries. He is particularly passionate about the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol, which emphasizes patient-centered care and minimizes recovery times through evidence-based practices and rehabilitation strategies.

Since 2006, Dr. Gonzales has been an integral part of the Southern New Hampshire community, being one of the pioneering surgeons in Manchester to perform minimally invasive anterior hip replacements and computer-navigated knee surgeries. His commitment to outpatient joint replacement has revolutionized the way these surgeries are approached, resulting in quicker recoveries and higher patient satisfaction rates.

A graduate of Vanderbilt University Medical School, he completed his orthopedic training and fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. His extensive training and experience enable him to deliver high-quality care to his patients.

Prior to joining the orthopedic team at Elliot Hospital in 2020, Dr. Gonzales served as the Associate Director of the Orthopaedic Service Line at Dartmouth Hitchcock Manchester, where he was recognized as a Top Doctor by New Hampshire Magazine in 2020. His dedication to advancing orthopedic care is underscored by his numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations of original research at national conferences.
