Dr. Johnson is a highly skilled physician specializing in the fields of internal medicine and medical oncology. He holds a significant role as a member of Tomball Regional Internal Medicine Associates and additionally serves as the Chairman of the Board at HCA Houston Healthcare-Tomball.

His professional versatility is further highlighted by his appointment as a senior aviation medical examiner, a designation granted by the Federal Aviation Administration that authorizes him to assess the health of pilots and air traffic controllers across the nation. Dr. Johnson’s approach to medical evaluation is characterized by a keen understanding of the complexities involved, ensuring each pilot receives a meticulous assessment to guarantee public safety.

Providing high-quality medical care and clinical education in various healthcare settings, Dr. Johnson maintains affiliations and privileges at various medical centers and hospitals in Texas such as Christus Spohn Hospital in Alice, Bayshore Medical Center in Pasadena, Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, East Houston Regional Medical Center in Houston, and Northwest Texas Health System in Amarillo. His extensive involvement in healthcare extends to his roles as the Medical Director at Silverado Memory Care – Cypresswood in Houston and as the Director of Clinical Education for Silverado Hospice North Houston. 

With a broad educational background, Dr. Johnson earned his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston in 2004. Remaining in the Houston area, he continued his advanced training in internal medicine at the Texas Medical Center. During his additional education, he trained with prestigious medical professionals at some of the nation’s top hospitals, including the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Memorial Hermann Hospital. 

From 2007-2010, Dr. Johnson furthered his medical training and knowledge at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he pursued a postgraduate fellowship, specializing in medical oncology and internal medicine. While attending MD Anderson, he concentrated in renal medullary carcinoma and lung cancer.

He has served academic administrative appointments including his term as director of the Graduate Medical Education Core Curriculum Lecture Series for MD Anderson. 

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Johnson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Staying involved with numerous professional organizations, Dr. Johnson is a member of the prestigious Mensa International High IQ Society, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Texas Society of Medical Oncology, the American College of Physician Executives, and the Aerospace Medical Association.
