Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Nicholas Rizzitello, who serves patients in Irvington, New Jersey.

In private practice, Dr. Rizzitello has provided chiropractic care in the Irvington, New Jersey area for over 45 years. 

He specializes in treating a variety of conditions and issues, including motor vehicle accident injuries, personal injury, sports injuries, work injuries, acute and chronic pain (lower back and neck pain), headaches and whiplash. He provides his patients excellent chiropractic care, physiotherapy methodologies as well as professional advice. 

Born in Newark, Dr. Rizzitello attended the University of Albuquerque on an Athletic Scholarship and then attended Rutgers University – Newark where he was a member of the Fencing team and Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He then enrolled and did his internship at Columbia Institute of Chiropractic in New York City, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. 

Among his professional affiliations, he is a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and Certified in Manipulation under Anesthesia.

Additionally, he is an active member of Salaam Shriners, Scottish Rite, Free and Accepted Masons, Loyal Order of Moose, and the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors.

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain and headaches. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery. 

Among Dr. Rizzitello’s most notable achievements include: Medal of Honor – World Trade Center 2002, John Crecco Foundation; Assembly Commendation – World Trade Center 2002, Assemblyman Paul DiGaetano; Senatorial Commendation – World Trade Center 2001, Senator Jon Corzine and elected five consecutive terms to the Bloomfield Board of Education 1994 – 2009.
